About me

I have held engineering, business development and senior management responsibilities in several large international industrial groups, notably in the Semiconductor and Power Engineering sectors in both the UK and France and in Iran, as Country President for a major European engineering group.

Educated in Great Britain and France, where I presently live, I have also spent several years in Iran, as a youngster under the Shah in the 1970s and more recently with my Persian wife during the Khatami and Ahmadinejad presidencies.

I have a somewhat eclectic and international education. After graduating in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol, I was awarded a research doctorate in Applied Physics from the University Toulouse. I later obtained an Executive MBA from HEC, the prestigious French Business School, and an Advanced Diploma in Persian Studies from INALCO, the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations in Paris.

I specialise in business management in complex multicultural and international contexts, with a particular interest in the Electrical Engineering, Energy and High Technology Industries.
